Instructions
- Imperative sentences (Imperativ) in German:
- "du" form: Use the verb stem (drop "st"), e.g., "sein" → "Sei!", "trinken" → "Trink!". Some irregular verbs change the vowel (e.g., "geben" → "Gib!", "helfen" → "Hilf!").
- "ihr" form: Use the regular form, e.g., "haben" → "Habt!", "nehmen" → "Nehmt!".
- "Sie" form: Use infinitive + "Sie", e.g., "gehen" → "Gehen Sie!".
- Negative imperative:
- "du" form: Add "nicht" after the verb (e.g., "Iss nicht!", "Steh nicht!").
- "ihr" form: Add "nicht" after the verb (e.g., "Schlaft nicht!", "Werdet nicht!").
- "Sie" form: Add "nicht" before the adjective or at the end (e.g., "Werden Sie nicht nervös!").
- Note:
- Add "bitte" for politeness (especially with "Sie").
- An exclamation mark "!" is commonly used to emphasize the command.
